Prototypes

It pays to use prototypes and test components. They allow you to test all aspects of product design at an early stage. You can avoid late changes in the serial tool. By using Premould you reach all the different techniques on the market for producing prototypes. You can use that technique that fits in every case. You can also combine different technique if necessary. Our organisation, equipment and contacts are specially formed to produce prototypes and test parts. We can therefore supply you with prototypes faster than ordinary production company.

Rapid prototyping

SLA, SLS, FDM, DMLS, 3D-P, Silicon forms, Polyurethane Castings.

Rapid prototyping is a very fast method with high precision. You can use the method to verify your design and use the component as a die for moulded silicone forms.

No tools are needed. A specialized machine produces the components directly from a CAD-file in the computer.

We corporate with Acron when it comes to Rapid Prototyping:

Rapid prototyping is the most common name given to a host of related technologies that are used to fabricate physical objects directly from CAD data sources. It automates the fabrication of a prototype part from a three-dimensional (3-D) CAD drawing. These methods are unique in that they add and bond materials in layers to form objects. Such systems are also known by the general names freeform fabrication (FFF), solid freeform fabrication (SFF) and layered manufacturing. Today's additive technologies offer advantages in many applications compared to classical subtractive fabrication methods such as milling or turning:
  • Objects can be formed with any geometric complexity or intricacy without the need for elaborate machine setup or final assembly;
  • Rapid prototyping systems reduce the construction of complex objects to a manageable, straightforward, and relatively fast process.

This has resulted in their wide use by engineers as a way to reduce time to market in manufacturing, to better understand and communicate product designs, and to make rapid tooling to manufacture those products.
